Ingredients

With Milk

  • 280 g Beetroot peeled and chopped in 4
  • ½ cup Condensed milk or to your taste
  • tsp Nutmeg
  • ¾ tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 Cups Water

Without Milk

  • 526 g Beetroot peeled and chopped in 4
  • 5 tbsp Lime juice
  • 20 g Ginger may or may not peel
  • 90 g Sugar to sweeten
  • 3 Cups Water

Instructions

With Milk

  • Wash and peel each beetroot. Chop into smaller pieces, add to the blender along with the water and blend.
  • Stain using a sieve or a cheesecloth.
  • Add the nutmeg and vanilla extract.
  • Sweeten to taste with condensed milk and put to chilli. Best serve cold

Without Milk

  • Wash and peel each beetroot. Chop into smaller pieces, add to the blender along with the ginger and water and blend.
  • Strain into a container, add the lime juice and sweeten to taste with the sugar.
  • Serve cold.

Notes

  • The beetroot recipe with milk serves three 10 oz glasses. The recipe without milk, serves four 10 oz glasses.
  • You can also use a juicer, which is much easier and more tidier
